Pull Audit Trail from Lock with PPD

You can pull audit trail records from an access point to see who accessed the door at what time. Online locks will automatically transmit this data back to the software, and offline locks can have the records pulled using the PPD.

1. Take the PPD to the lock, and turn the device on

2. Use the Up or Down arrow keys to find COLLECT AUDIT TRAIL and click OK

 3. When you see the CONNECT TO LOCK message on the PPD, plug the device into the lock with the 3 prong cable’s UP side facing up (XS4 Original, Geo) or by holding the back of the PPD against the reader of the lock (XS4 Original +, XS4 Mini, AElement, AElement Fusion, Neo, or XS4 ONE).

 4. Keep the PPD connected/held against the reader until you receive a message that the operation is completed.

5. Take the PPD back to a workstation, plug it in, and go to SYSTEM > PPD. As long as that page loads correctly, data will flow from the PPD to the software. Make sure the PPD is connected back to a workstation and the data flows back to the system within 24 hours of pulling the audit trail. After that time, the PPD will clear out its records, and the data will be deleted.
